Whole House Water Filtering For Better Clean Water
By Imogen T Stubbs
In a day and age when there are so many things to be worried
about, such as terrorism, disease and poverty, to name a few,
it seems that we should not have to worry about what is in our
drinking water.
While those, especially in the Western world, would like to believe
that our drinking water is inherently safe, the reality is that
water quality in the United States is a major concern, giving
rise to an increase in whole house water filtering systems.
Dirty Contaminated Water
Water is a fundamental necessity of life. No human, animal or
plant can survive long without the life-giving and life-maintaining
qualities of water. But, dirty, contaminated and toxic water is
a health hazard and not just when used for drinking.
While it is important to be sure that the water we drink and
use to cook is as pure as possible, it is often overlooked that
the largest organ of the body is the skin and therefore, a significant
amount of contaminants can enter the body through the pores of
the skin while showering or bathing.
Clean Water For Drinking, Cooking And Bathing
This is another reason why whole house water filter systems are
becoming more popular as more people understand the need to review
their options for clean water, including bathing as well as for
drinking and cooking.
According to experts, another reason to consider a whole house
water filtering system is that there are new types of waterborne
contaminants constantly being found and introduced into our collective
consciousness.
This means that in many ways, water, which is so essential to
life, health and well-being, is also becoming more and more threatening
to us. It has been reported that scientists have discovered that
the additives that are put into municipal water supplies, such
as fluoride and chlorine, which are intended to protect us, are
now known to be harmful.
Regardless of whether people recognize the problem or not in
their own lives, the common, unfiltered drinking water that runs
through our pipes and out of our faucets is a health concern in
almost every community. For this reason, people should be aware,
wary, apprehensive and proactive about their water.
Water Test Kits
Purchasing water test kits to assess your water and considering
a whole house water filter, or at the very least a basic water
filter system, should become a high priority for everyone who
are concerned about wellness and health.
The whole house water filters are the newest advancement in water
filtration and purification and they are also considered the most
effective and beneficial filtering methods. They also offer great
convenience over the use of bottled water, which is difficult
to handle, is wasteful of resources in bottling and can never
be helpful with respect to bathing needs.
Whole House Water Filtration Is The Pinnacle
Water industry experts say that the whole house water filters
represent the real pinnacle of the technology of water purification
and filtration. Even though there will surely be additional developments
and further advances in water filtration technology, at the present
time, the whole house systems are considered the premier method
for removing dangerous contaminants from the water.
Whole house water filtering systems are capable of purifying
the water by eliminating dangerous substances such as Atrazine
(which is a chemical introduced into water supplies by pesticide
runoff), giardia and cryptosporidium (two volatile organic contaminants),
and the well-known chlorine and fluoride.
Each one of these contaminating elements has been connected to
serious health concerns by being ingested through drinking water.
Successfully removing these toxins through filters and purifiers
provides better tasting, and much healthier, water for cooking
and for drinking.

Did You Know?
One of the downsides to living within city limits is the quality
of water produced from the city. It can often have an odd taste
or even taste of impurities. But buying bottled water can quickly
become expensive not to mention all that plastic winding up in
a landfill versus being properly recycled. There are alternatives
though.
Water filters placed on your faucet, used in a pitcher or attached
to the incoming water pipes can provide you with the fresh, clean
tasting water you would normally pay over a dollar a bottle for.
That is saving money any way you look at it.
