Starbucks Coffees Are Freshly Brewed

By John Cranby

As soon as you walk in the door the aroma of brewing coffee and fresh pastries surrounds you and all at once you realize that you are in heaven, or the closest thing to it; Starbucks.

Many people can’t function without their morning coffee and while they could brew it at home before leaving, there is just something about drinking a latte before heading off to work that seems to propel you through the cafe bar doors to enjoy one of the many Starbucks coffees.

High Brand Awareness

Is the recognition from purely branding that makes them rank right up there with other popular brands such as Coca Cola and McDonalds? Or, is it due to the number of locations worldwide making it bound to be recognized through advertising? Or, is a Starbucks coffee just that good; a part of something special?

The concept began as a place where people could go and hang out with friends while enjoying one of the Starbucks coffees; a place that was not home or work but more like a "third place," as CEO Howard Schultz put it.

A Place For Social Interaction

The design of the coffee houses lends itself as a place where people can go for social interaction or even for some quite reading while enjoying a specialty, gourmet coffee. Many locations have a fairly well stocked game and reading shelf for you to enjoy while there.

Of course, Starbucks is all about coffee. From a coffee cup full of their special blend to lattes and espressos, Starbucks is synonymous with coffee and they take it very seriously.

They started out as premium coffee roasters and have held fast to their beginnings by serving only excellent brews. They recently underwent some changes and now discard any coffee that had been brewed for more than a half hour.

Smell That Aroma

Their commitment to providing excellence is evident when you consider the fact that the employees at Starbucks are asked to not wear any type of strong perfume, as it may interfere with the aroma of coffee. The indoor cafes are all non-smoking in order to prevent the smell from overpowering the coffee.

You may not be aware that at one time they served different breakfast sandwiches but quickly stopped, as some reported that the smell of the food overpowered the aroma of coffee, thus making their coffee house smell more like a diner.

They want you to be able to enjoy their great Starbucks coffees in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, and served by their attentive staff.
