The evenings at our house seem to be booked with some activity
or another several nights a week. Our children are involved in
several activities in school and my husband and I are involved
in church and community activities.
We all enjoy the things that we do, but the evenings seem very

eat out one night and the other nights I try to have a slow cooked

when I do my grocery shopping. It helps when you have everything

the table. I try to cook extra when I have time so that there
are ready made entrees in the freezer that we can heat up.
When ever I make a stew, soup or lasagna I always make enough
for two meals and freeze half of it. We eat chicken quite often
so I try to purchase pieces that are skinned and boned out. It
does cost more, but this saves a great deal of preparation time
as well as cooking time.

already been skinned, boned or are thin cut so that the cooking
time is reduced. These ingredients are still nutritional and natural,
someone else has just done the time consuming chores.

it is doable. It is worth the effort to have the time together
as a family.
A Nutritious Family Meal
To eat a nutritious family meal, spending time together as a
family, is what I enjoy most. I like the exchange of ideas and
talking about the events of the day over a hot delicious meal.
We can talk about a job promotion at work, good grades for school
work and other family matters.

Most grocery stores supply pre sliced vegetables in their salad
section and pre cut meat pieces that have been boned and skinned,
to make cooking quicker and easier. The smaller the meat pieces,
the quicker you will cook your meal.
Shopping For Quick Dinner Ingredients
If you are on your way home from work, you can stop at your favourite
grocery store and go to the salad bar and get a bag of pre washed
lettuce and pre sliced vegetables, to make a delicious and nutritious
salad. You can then move on to the meat section and look for small
pieces of beef, lamb or skinless chicken. You now have the ingredients
of a quick dinner recipe. Using these ingredients, you should
have a delicious, nutritious meal on the family meal table, within
30 minutes.
The days of laboring in the kitchen for hours, after a long day
at work are over. You can now purchase ready for cooking ingredients
