Miami New Years Eve Party For A Night To Remember
By Katerina Octanova
If you want to ring in the new year with a Miami New Years Eve
party, then you'd better plan ahead. Securing a hotel downtown
or right on the beach is definitely the way to go, but the rooms
book up fast!
By securing your spot at your event of choice, you can also save
a lot of money on the ticket price, as some events offer pre-sale
tickets as low as $75 but bump them up to $100+ when the early
bird tickets run out.
Book A Cabbie In Advance
If you can't walk to your destination, be sure you book limo
service or a cabbie in advance as well to save yourself the hassle
of parking and traffic -- not to mention, saving you from the
temptation to drink and drive.
Most of the New Year's events offer general admission tickets
and VIP tickets, which include the best tables, lavish dinners
and special privileges. At www.farecompare.com,
you can review your options and find flights for as low as $79
from Atlanta, $111 from New York and $156 from San Francisco.
Off To The Mansion
Since Miami's illustrious Prive Nightclub has closed down, you
will have to choose to have your Miami New Years Eve at one of
the other premier nightclubs from The Opium Group.
Their well-known brand of venues includes The Mansion, SET, Louis
and Opium Hard Rock. This year, DJ Steve Angello will be hosting
the party at The Mansion (www.mansionmiami.com),
with tickets on sale for $200. SET (www.setmiami.com)
tickets are on sale for $250 in this former theatre.
Beds On The Sand At Nikki Beach
Louis Bar Lounge (www.louismiami.com),
inspired by 18th Century Europe, has tickets on sale for $200
that include a champagne toast and open bar from 9-12. Opium at
Hard Rock (www.opiumhardrock.com)
is the party from the former Opium Garden moved to a new location,
which has tickets on sale for $100.
If you've never been to a New Years Eve bash in Miami before,
you may want to check out Nikki Beach; a place so idyllic you'd
have to see it to believe it! With beds on the sand, large bonfires
with dancers performing, fireworks over the ocean, a romantic
dinner in the garden of lights, high-end pool scenes, illuminated
private beach tepees and lounge chairs galore, Nikki Beach is
as comfortable as it is chic.
Holiday Gift Cards
The crowd brings in everyone from college students and artists
to models and actors. General admission starts at $75, which includes
a holiday gift card valued at $250.
On the high end of the ticket scale, $406.40 will buy you ten
Club Nikki wristbands, two bottles of Dom Perignon, four bottles
of top shelf champagne or liquor and a $1,500 holiday gift card.
This New Years Miami event will have the ambiance you come to
expect from a world-class destination like Miami.
Free Fireworks Show At Bayfront Park
If you want to stay away from the club scene, then you can head
to Bayfront Park for a free fireworks show with bands, entertainment
and food. The Big Orange Festival will drop a 35-foot orange ball
at midnight from the Hotel Inter-Continental at Chopin Plaza,
which is accompanied by fireworks and a laser light show; the
nearby Bayshore Mall has plenty to drink and the DJs will supply
the music outside to create the ultimate party atmosphere more
akin to New York's Big Apple.
The following day, you can also watch the Orange Bowl game at
8 p.m. If you're sticking around for the week, an even bigger
game is hosted on January 8th -- the BCS National Championship.
No matter which event you choose, this Miami New Years Eve will
be a trip you won't soon forget.

Did You Know This About New Years Eve?
If I do not want to host a party, where can I go to celebrate?
If you are not up to hosting a party you
may want to check with your family and friends to see if they
are having a New Years Eve party. If they are not then there are
countless other places to attend the festivities.
Most cities have bars that have specials
that night. You may want to consider getting a room for the night
just to ensure that you do not drink and drive.
If you want to go to a party but do not
want drinking to be involved then you may want to consider a religious
event. Many churches hold their own versions of NYE parties that
involve the whole family.
