Low Fat Low Carb Recipes Helping You Lose Weight
By Ginger O’Riley
Low fat low carb recipes are easy to use. You may not have to
cook with brand new recipes, in order to cook with low fat and
low carb ingredients. You can look at your favorite recipes and
substitute your regular ingredients with alternative ingredients
that will meet your diet requirements and still have a delicious
meal.
For example, if you use red meat, you can cut out all the fat
and you will have lean meat. Alternatively, you can use fish or
skinless chicken. There are many ways to include lean meat in
your cooking to make a delicious meal. If you need to include
a sauce, look for the low carb version.
Many people like to add some cheese and a salad dressing in their
salads, to improve the flavor. You can use low fat cheese and
low carb salad dressing as alternative ingredients to help you
lose weight and look great.
Losing Weight And Looking Great
We all strive to lose weight and look great. Okay, well maybe
that’s an over-statement, but a large portion of us do. It’s only
natural to want to look your best and feel great about the attire
you’re slipping into.
This is why so many people have converted to low fat low carb
recipes. It’s high time we all adopted a healthy alternative to
the junk we’re so used to. In this day and age, only a fool would
dine out on fast food twice a day.
Overdosed On Convenient Food
I realize it sounds absurd when stated out loud, but it’s a study
I read not long ago. Americans were chowing down fast food twice
a day. Hopefully it’s no longer so extreme. I understand that
we live in a world of convenience and folks are looking for something
quick that tastes great.
However, what we need to focus more on are low fat low carb recipes.
Cooking at home is the wisest choice of all. When you prepare
your own meals, you decide what goes in them and what’s left out.
Purchase all-natural organic ingredients for your low fat low
carb recipes. This way you’re not consuming oodles of pesticides,
hormones, and antibiotics.
Include Lean Meats Such As Fish And Poultry
That stuff can lead to various types of cancer. Low fat low carb
recipes should consist of lean meats such as fish and poultry.
And when I say poultry, I mean skinless white meat. Not the KFC
extra crispy, discount bucket. That stuff will send you to an
early grave for sure. As far as breads are concerned, you have
to be careful here.
Avoid white flour and starch-infused pasta products. These are
what we call bad carbs. What you need are whole wheat breads and
multi grain carbs. These supply long-term energy, but are great
for your body at the same time.
Fresh Vegetables Help Keep You Fit And Regular
Don’t forget tons of fresh vegetables. These are imperative when
it comes to low fat low carb recipes. Broccoli is not only fat-free,
but it offers awesome carbs and fiber to help keep you fit and
regular.
I know what you’re thinking. Low fat low carb recipes aren’t
going to taste good. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Get out there and try a few recipes before you make such assumptions.
It really will improve your lifestyle.
Substituting Your Ingredients For Low Fat And Low Carb Ingredients
When you cook from a recipe, you can change some of the ingredients,
including high fat ingredients for low fat ingredients. For example,
if you buy a regular steak, you can cut out all the fat and you
will have a lean and nutritious steak in your meal. Meat sections
in many food stores, now sell lean meat, with all the fat already
cut out. If you buy lean meat, then half your meal preparation
is already done.
When you buy salad dressing for your salads, do not just buy
your regular salad dressing, look for the low carb alternative.
You will find the taste is just as delicious, without all the
carbs. If you cannot find the low carb alternative at your regular
food store, you should head for a health food store, where they
stock many low carb ingredients for your cooking.
You do not have to drastically change your cooking methods, when
cooking with low fat low carb recipes, just substitute the ingredients
with low fat and low carb alternatives.
