Low Carb Cheese Cake – And Controlling Your Calorie Count
By Julia Taylor-Fernandez
Low carb cheese cake tastes delicious. It is easy to make, sweet
and enjoyable to eat and still control the number of calories
you put into your system.
You can eat this low carb cheese cake and still be within the
calorie control program of the Atkins diet. All you need is be
careful with the ingredients you use to make the cake.
Though Atkins is something that works for many people, it can
be hard to give up sweets completely. You really don’t have to
when you do this style of eating, but you do have to modify what
you eat and what is considered to be sweet.
I found a few great recipes for things that can be had on Atkins
that are really sweet but have only one or two carbs per serving.
The first thing I just had to try was low carb cheese cake.

I am so glad I did. It’s not the same as the original,
but it is surprisingly good and satisfying.
Ingredients for Low Carb Cheese Cake
When making low carb cheese cake, the first thing someone has
to get is Splenda. Anyone who is on Atkins already knows that
this is the sweetener that is recommended for this diet. Also
needed is cream cheese (two), heavy whipping cream, and vanilla.
Some use lemon rind in theirs, but I do not. Either way, the
low carb cheese cake will still be good and probably will be gone
rather quickly because other family members might like it as well.
No crust
One thing to remember about low carb cheese cake is that there
is no crust, at least not in the version that I have made. Some
in the later stages of the diet may be able to add a low carb
crust to it, but when someone is in induction or the early states
of ongoing weight loss, the crust is not an option.
However, that is the only thing missing, as this is something
that is sweet and tastes like real cheese cake for the most part.
I found it immensely satisfying when I had the urge for something
a little different.
Recipes online
There are a few good recipes online for the low carb cheese cake,
and because I didn’t create the recipes I won’t put one here,
but they are pretty easy to find and they are all going to be
really good.
Look for one that will be something that you can make easily.
Some are more complicated than others and what time and work someone
wants to put into a low carb cheese cake will be up to them.
Family occasions
Low card cheese cake can be enjoyed by the whole family. You
may have a special occasion and its moms’ birthday for example,
then mum will love a piece of this delicious. cake.
As long as the rest of the family members do the right thing
and leave some for her, and not eat all the cake themselves!
Maybe you can make mum another low carb cheese cake for Mothers
Day!

Did You Know?
What are the kitchen basics I need?
Kitchen basics that every kitchen should have are
pots and pans (in a variety of sizes), measuring cups, measuring spoons,
mixing bowls and an assortment of kitchen gadgets that make life easier.
One of these gadgets is a can opener. Being forced to saw off
the bottom of a can could take a little of the fervor away from
cooking. Also consider keeping whisks, spatulas and tongs as part
of your cooking basics.
Another item basic that is used often is a drainer/strainer.
These can come in the form of bowls or be part of a boiling pan
set. It is used to drain spaghetti water from the pasta or can
be used for anything similar.
