Ideas For Christmas Parties On The Beach
By Katerina Octanova
When you think about Christmas, you think about Santa Claus and
the North Pole, which in turn makes you think of cold weather
and snow. This year, however, when you are coming up with ideas
for Christmas parties why not think tropical; think beach.
For your tree you can usually find some type of themed lights
from your local party store and perhaps you could make leis instead
of using tinsel or garland; decorate it with mini sand dollars
or shells that you can find at a craft store.
When you send out your Christmas party invitations why not include
a little sand in the envelope or write the information on a shell
or sand dollar? The possibilities are endless.
Serving Food Luau Style
If you want to continue your beach Christmas party theme with
the food, then you can serve it Luau style by placing several
blankets on the floor with shells and greenery placed on them
as decorations. Since traditional Luau style food may not be readily
available you can improvise by serving a pineapple glazed ham.
Ideas for Christmas parties for kids abound, such as a Candy
Land Christmas. It can be loads of fun and is not that difficult
to put together. For the kids Christmas party invitations include
all of the details on a piece of paper and then roll it up like
a scroll. Take some colored plastic wrap and cover them.
Large Lollipops With Colored Plastic Wrap
Tape it closed and twist each end then tie the ends with a colorful
piece of ribbon or yarn so that it looks like a piece of taffy
or a Tootsie Roll. You can make large lollipops by cutting out
big circles and covering them with the colored plastic wrap, attach
some dowels and place them around the yard and house.
To entertain the kids, have them make Christmas party decorations
that they can take home, such as a candy sleigh. For this use
2 candy canes (curled side up) for the sleigh, glue a Hershey
miniature about 1/4 way down on top of both canes and another
right in front of it, taking a third one and gluing it upright
with the others to look like a seat.
Sticking Chocolate Santa To The Back Of The Chair
Take a small chocolate Santa, put a little glue on his feet and
stick him to the back of the chair. Get a few small wrapped Dove
bars (they have them wrapped like presents) and glue them to the
seat like wrapped presents.
If you use a little imagination, then you will no doubt come
up with many other ideas for Christmas parties, such as decorating
with Gingerbread people everywhere. How about a Snow Ball theme,
with snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, white twinkling lights
and glittery blue and white tablecloths?

Did You Know?
What are some Christmas party ideas for kids?
Children love the holidays and of course
Christmas usually tops out as the number one holiday on their
list. So a party that is centered on them will make them incredibly
happy. If you are looking for Christmas party ideas for kids then
walk through a craft store. You can easily have a party where
the kids get to make their own Christmas crafts and ornaments.
The best part is that it does not have
to be expensive. Most crafts and craft sets are relatively inexpensive.
You just need to make sure that the crafts are age appropriate.
If you want your kid’s Christmas parties to be extra special then
make sure you have a Santa Clause on hand to give out small presents.
The presents do not have to cost a lot
but will be extra special because the kids do not expect it. You
can even play Christmas movies such as "Rudolph the Red Nosed
Reindeer" or "Frosty the Snowman."
