Healthy Breakfast To Start The New Day

By Barry J Smallhorn

Healthy breakfast should include cereal, low fat milk and fresh fruit. The most healthy breakfast is when the ingredients are organically grown and are therefore free of herbicides, pesticides and artificial preservatives.

A lot of these certified organic products are nowadays available at your local supermarket and your local health food store. Just read the labels to make sure you are getting what you pay for, and the ingredients are genuine certified organic.

Start The Day With Breakfast In The Morning

I myself do not always eat organically grown products and don't always have breakfast. It depends on how busy I am in the morning. But I know that I should have a breakfast every morning to start the day the right way.

My daughter eats each morning, and I won’t let her out of the house without having something good and filling to start her day. I know I should have the same rule for myself, but I just can’t seem to find the will to eat when I first wake up.

A healthy breakfast doesn’t have to be big, but you should eat it. You can review your options and have whatever you want as long as it’s not too fatty or too sugar laden. Cereals are good, along with whole milk, or low fat skim milk and fruit is always a good idea to have with any healthy breakfast.

Include Fruit

I always enjoy a banana or a fresh apple with my breakfast cereal. It gives me that extra fill in my appetite and makes me ready to start the new day on the right note and not feel hungry at inappropriate moments during the day. Especially while I am traveling to an appointment.

If I miss breakfast, I stop at a nearby hotel and give myself a chance to have a served breakfast. I love the buffet at this hotel. I get eggs, bacon, toast, and fruit, and that’s about as healthy as my breakfast can get. Its a luxury I can afford every now and then.

Perhaps the most important part of a healthy breakfast is trying to have one. Your body and your brain both need the boost to get your day started, and there is no better way to get moving. I suppose if I didn’t work from home I might have to have breakfast before I left the house whether I wanted to do so or not.

Dieting Tips And Ideas

For those who are on diets, a healthy breakfast is one of the most important things you can do. If you don’t eat breakfast, then you are going to be more hungry than usual throughout the day and into the night.

They say that a healthy breakfast can help eliminate or at least cut down on the munchies that so many dieters fight with each night. If you give your body the calories it needs in the morning, it won’t be pestering you for them at night before you go to bed.

It is much easier to eat good foods in the morning than to fight the cravings at night for all of the things that you know you should not be eating at night.
