Hanukkah Gifts For Your Children
By Imogen T Stubbs
What is Hanukkah? Hanukkah is a Jewish celebration, which is
also known as the Festival of Lights and it lasts for 8 days.
The story of Hanukkah is about the victory that Maccabees won
when he rededicated the Temple in Jerusalem.
According to the Hebraic calendar, Hanukkah starts on the 25th
day during Kislev. It is observed in late November or late December
on the Gregorian calendar. People partake in Hanukkah gift giving
and teach their children the Torah.
Hanukkah gifts are given for the eight days that Hanukkah is
celebrated, which means giving a present to your kids each day
of the celebration.
Eight Gifts For Each Child
Since you will give the kids eight presents in a row, buying
gifts Hanukkah can be an expensive venture. You should plan well
on your purchases in order review your option sand avoid spending
too much, especially if you have a number of children.
Just imagine if you have four kids, this means that by the end
of Hanukkah holiday, you will have given thirty two presents in
just eight days. Therefore, it is good to stick to a budget plan.
If you can, simplify the process by ordering the items you want
online and having them delivered to your home.
Mix Up Your Gifts
The Hanukkah gifts that you give your children do not have to
be similar. Mix up the gifts a little bit. You can buy your kids
bags of gelt or varied Hanukkah notions.
Just like with the Christian Christmas model, you may decide
to give them a big toy at the start of Hanukkah holiday, or maybe
at the end in order to entice them to behave well during the period.
Hanukkah Gift Baskets
Getting gifts during Hanukkah is a privilege and children should
appreciate this. For others whom you may want to give gifts to,
consider giving Hanukkah gift baskets.
The Hanukkah tradition is a cherished time in the Jewish culture.
It is a time when parents give gifts to their children, with each
child getting eight gifts in eight days. The celebration can be
an expensive venture for parents who have large families.
A Variety Of Gifts
It is therefore wise to have a budget control on the Hanukkah
gifts that you will buy your children.
To make Hanukkah a more cherished experience, mix up the gifts
that you are buying, give them big and small gifts and remind
them that not every child in the world gets presents during this
time and therefore they should be thankful that they at least
got something.
Have a happy Hanukkah holiday and enjoy listening to traditional
Hanukkah music with your family.
