Fresh Fruit And Vegetables Anytime

Fresh fruit are always available. Some fruit may not be in season, but there is always other fruit that are in season. You can have fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the year.

For example, I have seen at the local market, apples and pears available all the time, bananas arrive from the tropical areas and you can always review your options and get some fresh vegetables for your salads.

Fresh Produce From Your Own Garden

You can even have a little garden in your backyard to supply your herbs, fruit and vegetables for your salads and cooking requirements.

A couple of fruit trees in the backyard, will add to the variety of fruits available to the family. Orange, lemon, apple and pear trees are quite popular. You can pick your vegetables and fruit whenever you need them.

Weekly Grocery Bill

Lately, I have been on a health kick, and this means that I am trying to buy different things at the fruit market. This is not a problem when I go on my own, but when I have my husband with me, he often frowns at all of the fresh fruit that I am putting into the cart.

He likes fruit, but he knows that I can’t seem to stop choosing what I want, and it does add a lot to our weekly grocery bill. He doesn’t eat as much as I do, but I have noticed that he is eating more of it now that I keep buying it.

A Vegetable With Each Meal

I know that fresh fruit is one of the most important things we can eat. I have been making sure that we have a vegetable with each meal, and I prefer that my daughter eat fruit when she wants a snack.

This is something that is not a problem for her because I have always tried to give her fresh fruit from the earliest days. Once she was able to eat it, it was something she had. She loves fruit and I am glad that this is at least one thing that I know I have done right with her.

Though there are times when there is not as much fresh fruit available, you can usually find something in your local store or fruit market.

Farmer’s Market

I love to go to the local farmer’s market to get fruit and vegetables, but that is not something I can do all year long. I usually have to settle for what I can find in the winter months.

I can always travel to the big city market and find fruits and vegetables all year round, there is always something in season and a large range to choose from.

I go to the fruit market every couple of weeks these days. I enjoy the drive to the big city and come back with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Everyone loves Apples, Bananas and Oranges

If you are worried about feeding your family fresh fruits because you think they won’t like them, make sure you buy the usual suspects. Almost anyone will love apples, bananas, and oranges.

Though you may think that your kids won’t eat fresh fruit, you might be surprised what they will eat when nothing else is around. They may complain, but if you don’t give them much choice, they will eat what they can find.

Give Your Children Fresh Fruit

If children are given fruit to eat, rather than salty and fatty snacks, then they will become used to eating fresh fruit and will have no appetite for snacks.

If you need to give them snacks, get popping corn from the market and make some pop corn. Do not add any butter or salt and your children will love it. I give this out at children’s parties and the pop corn seems to disappear rather quickly.

Children will eat what is given to them. You should always give them nutritious fresh fruit.
