Easy Pasta Recipes Matching Sauce With The Right Pasta
By Frank Russelton
Believe it or not, the first step in all easy pasta recipes has
to do with simply placing the pasta in the water. You might not
think anyone could do that wrong, but there is a right way and
a wrong way even to start boiling the pasta.
If you’re a complete beginner, then that fact might surprise
or bewilder you, but it’s really just a matter of doing a couple
of simple things right at the beginning. Then you can go on to
make your delectable pasta dishes knowing the pasta itself is
in perfect shape.
To make any pasta meal, whether using easy or more involved pasta
recipes, you always must get the pasta to the right consistency
by beginning the same way. Provide enough water for the pasta
to "swim" in, so it won’t stick, and also to expand
to about twice the size it is when dry.
Stirring For The First Few Moments
Salting the water will help it taste good, without adding excessive
amounts of salt to your diet. Put the pasta into boiling water
and stir for the first few moments, again to prevent sticking,
and cook at a gentle boil for the amount of time indicated on
the package.
A quick and easy way to tell when it’s done is to bite a piece;
it should be tender, but firm enough that it’s not totally limp.
Lighter, Creamier Sauces For Angel Hair Pasta
Even the size and shape of the pasta types make a difference
in your end result. You can make sure you are creating easy pasta
recipes if you take some thought for how the pasta you’re using
will relate to the sauce you want to make to go with it.
If you are creating a thick, meaty or chunky sauce, you’ll want
larger pasta pieces that won’t be overwhelmed by the weight of
the sauce. Smaller or thinner kinds of pasta like angel hair pasta
will do much better with lighter, creamier sauces.
Know Which Sauces Work The Best Pasta Dishes
Learning some of these elementary cooking tips can help you turn
your various recipes into more easy pasta recipes before you even
get going on preparing other ingredients. Knowing the right way
to cook pasta will get you started out on the right foot.
Being able to recognize which types of sauces and accompaniments
work best with which shapes and sizes of pasta can then cut out
other areas of uncertainty.
